The A2 level is the next step after A1 and helps learners deepen their knowledge of German used in everyday life and social interactions. It’s structured in two parts: A2.1 and A2.2, each designed to build confidence and fluency.

By the end of A2, students can:

• Understand frequently used phrases related to areas of personal relevance (basic information about themselves, shopping, work, etc.).

• Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information.

• Describe aspects of their background and environment in basic terms.

• Be ready for the B1 level or take exams like Goethe-Zertifikat A2 or telc A2.
